In Cavan town on February 23th 1943 a fire ravaged St. Joseph's Industrial School and took the lives of thirty-five children and one elderly inmate. The Girls Of The Sacred heart exposes a state cover up, religious institutional power, and the children behind the windows. Trauma is not forgotten but it has been silenced. A coruscating play examining the long tail of history. What is the truth in the rumour of why the children weren't let out in time?
The List by Fionnuala Kennedy Directed by Fionnuala Kennedy
After another woman is murdered in the North of Ireland a group of women have had enough. The only route towards gender equality is an eye for an eye. A punchy new work in development shocking, funny and provocative in turns – A Greek Chorus with punk aesthetic.
Sticky City by Alice Malseed Directed by Rhiann Jeffrey
Aoife's has a need; a few really important needs, actually. She needs to get out of this shitty date in Cafe Nero. She needs to get some work as a writer, and she needs us all to understand why Belfast keeps going on fire.
Is it her, is she the problem? She doesn't mean to be the main character but she's beginning to think she is.
Sticky City is a reimagining of the geography of the 'new' Belfast; A fresh look at the landscape of our city explored with heart, wit and fire.
The Three Green Fields (and the fourth one at the backdoor) by Katie Marie Moore Directed by Rhiann Jeffrey
On a dark and stormy Halloween night in the Dublin Suburbs, four friends gather when an unexpected caller changes the trajectory of their evening. In the wake of their mysterious caller, the friends implode, battling each other to prove they are one of Ireland’s own. National identities are put under the spotlight as the friends question their loyalties, their beliefs, and what it means to call Ireland home.
