Our Artistic Development Programme invests in the development of independent Artists at all stages of their career.

The programme facilitates paid Internships for emerging Theatre Professionals, provides a platform for New Writing as well as devised and experimental work, programmes Development Workshops and Laboratories and has commissioned new work by several Northern Irish Playwrights.

Prime Cut Productions’ Reveal Programme was established to provide vital support to independent theatre artists in Northern Ireland, at a time when there are real challenges facing independent artists.

Prime Cut programme and deliver workshop and theatre laboratories throughout the year. We believe that the space to play, develop, and innovate is crucial in the development of the form and of its artists and it has been our pleasure to provide the framework for this artistic adventuring. We have enjoyed working with some fantastic practitioners from across the world (Ruth Little, Teresa Brayshaw,  Andy Smith, Mikel Murfi, Frantic Assembly, East West Center, Sarajevo, Graham Whybrow,  David Gothard, Patrick O’Kane].

Whilst the main thrust of Prime Cut’s artistic mission is to produce International playwrights we have collaborated with and  commissioned some great new work from some of Northern Ireland’s best: Clare Dwyer Hogg, Stacey Gregg, Owen McCafferty, Damian Gorman, Declan Feenan. Prime Cut are currently working closely with a number of Northern Irish Playwrights and Theatre Makers to develop new work.
