Outreach opportunities in conjunction with "I Am My Own Wife"

Prime Cut Productions, in collaboration with the MAC, will be producting Doug Wright’s “I Am My Own Wife”, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Tony Award for Drama, the Drama Desk award for Outstanding Play, the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Broadway Play.

Based on a true story, and inspired by interviews conducted by the playwright over several years, I Am My Own Wife tells the fascinating real-life tale Charlotte Von Mahsldorf who lived openly and without compromise under the 20th century’s two most conformist regimes the Nazis and the Communists for almost her entire life. A sexual libertarian, a compulsive collector, a hoarder of history her life offers a unique perspective on European history. One actor - 36 characters and one incredible life.

Prime Cut will be running free workshops in conjunction with their forthcoming production of “I Am My Own Wife”. These workshops are open to Second Level, Further and Higher Education Students and Community Groups. Lasting approximately 90 minutes, the workshops can be run in your premises. There are a limited number of workshops, so we will run a first come first served basis list, so please apply early to avoid disappointment. As part of this, there will also be a reduced ticketing scheme for those that attend the workshops.
