BBC Performing Arts Fellowship - Theatre Director

Prime Cut Productions intends to apply to the BBC Performing Arts Fund to host a Performing Arts Fellow from Jan 2015, and is looking for an ambitious and talented theatre director at the early stages of their career who would like the opportunity to develop their professional practice through a bespoke Fellowship with us.

The BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship scheme is designed to support individuals through the early stages of their performing arts careers. By identifying the next generation of performing arts talent, the scheme will help establish them in the professional world through bespoke placements within existing organisations.

The Fellowship

A BBC Performing Arts Fellowship is a bespoke opportunity, tailored around your needs. This includes the times/days you work, and the projects you work on.

You will need to demonstrate your experience of working/training in theatre direction, and outline your developmental needs and creative aspirations for the future.

Prime Cut’s proposed Fellowship will be given the opportunity to work with our team in the realisation of Prime Cut’s programme of work and developmental processes whilst receiving training and mentoring to realise your personal creative vision.

If we are successful in receiving funding from the BBC Performing Arts Fund, the Fellowship would take place in 2015, focusing on selected Prime Cut projects that occur throughout the year according to your needs and other commitments. This is not a salaried position, though the Fellow will receive £8,000 to cover expenses and time.

In order to be eligible for a BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellowship you must:
