""In 2000 Prime Cut in partnership with the Waterfront Hall staged the European premiere of Michel Marc Bouchard's extraordinary The Coronation Voyage, ambitious in scale and themes the piece is set during the voyage of the Canadian Delegation to the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. In Boucahrd's own words: The Coronation Voyage is a few pages missing in our history books. The pages torn out by dogmatic historians and politicains with elastic words. It is the search for my connection with World History. It is my desire to laugh...and to cry and ask questions. The Coronation Voyage is a father seeking prosperity and his sons seeking a father. It is my love for my nephews and my responsibility to the future. This play is amny things. It is a multiple work. An odessey. I apologise to those looking for a single answer..I accept its many questions and its numerous interpretations"
